About Steven
Experience That Shapes Perspective
Steven Silber, CFP®, CLTC began his career in financial services in 1998. Over more than 28 years, he has seen financial decisions become more interconnected as careers advance, families evolve, assets grow and retirement moves from a distant goal to an immediate reality.
His experience has included individuals and families across a wide range of financial circumstances, including affluent and high-net-worth households where significant assets can bring more choices, more tradeoffs and more consequences to each decision.
That experience has shaped Steven's view that the most important financial questions rarely exist in isolation. An investment decision may affect taxes and liquidity. A retirement decision may affect legacy plans. Long-term care can have implications for both finances and family. Understanding those relationships is often as important as understanding any one piece.
Steven holds the CFP® certification and the Certification for Long-Term Care designation. Based on Long Island, New York, his professional background encompasses financial planning, retirement, investments, wealth planning, long-term care and the financial considerations that intersect with estate and legacy planning.
Professional Philosophy
Experience has taught Steven that financial planning is rarely about finding one perfect answer. More often, it involves weighing competing priorities, understanding tradeoffs and making thoughtful decisions with incomplete information about what the future will bring.
His approach to financial thinking emphasizes clarity over complexity, perspective over prediction and coordination over isolated decisions. As financial lives become more complicated, Steven believes disciplined planning becomes more valuable, not because it eliminates uncertainty, but because it provides a framework for making better-informed choices within it.
“The goal isn't to eliminate uncertainty. It's to understand the choices well enough to make thoughtful decisions even when the future isn't fully knowable.”
